HURRY UP AND BITE

TARBORO — Sunday's moderate temperature made a good day for fishing for Maira Sanchez, 4, of Scotland Neck and her parents. Maira was one of five fishermen on the peer at Shiloh Landing located outside of Princevlle. Today's temperature could duplicate Sunday as the forecast calls for a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with the highs in the upper 80s.

Louisville Cardinals sophomore Montrezl Harrell announced Monday he was returning to school for his junior season. Harrell is a former North Edgecombe High School star who averaged 14 points and 8.4 rebounds per game for Louisville this season.
