A black male weighing approximately 250 pounds and standing 5-feet-8-inches tall demanded money from a teller at Tarboro Savings Bank on Main Street Friday morning around 9:30 a.m., according to Tarboro Police Chief Damon Williams.
Williams said it is unclear what exactly the robber was wearing, because he thinks the robber shed some clothing when he exited the bank.
WIlliams wouldn't confirm if the investigators had found any clothing around or near the bank.
Williams also declined to say how the robber left the bank or in what direction he traveled.
Williams declined to release any further information to The Daily Southerner and said it may be Monday before the department issues a press release.
