St. Anne’s hosting two events this weekend

TARBORO — There are activities both Saturday and Sunday at St. Anne’s Chapel, with The Tar River Boys and Chambergrass playing Saturday and an open jam Drum Circle on Sunday.

Some of the best Bluegrass in the region will get under way at 7 p.m. Saturday and if you pick, bring your instrument and join the combined bands on stage for a big Bluegrass jam finale.

Tickets are $15 at the door and all proceeds go to the musicians. Bring a cushion for your chair, your favorite beverage and snacks to share, if you like.

On Sunday, the free drum circle gets under way at 5 p.m.

Persons with all levels of skill and abilities are encouraged to come and enjoy and loaner drums will be available.

Come early and stay late, bring your favorite beverage and snacks to share, if you like.

Also look for the upcoming night of music with the Kyle Carey Trio performing their “Gaelic Americana” May 24th.
