Concert: “Music for Everyone," a benefit for the restoration of Tarboro’s Colonial Theater, presented by the Edgecombe County Veterans Military Museum. 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16 at Keihin Auditorium, Tickets $15.

Concert: Country music singer-songwriter James Otto at Edgcombe Community College’s Keihin Auditorium 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. Tickets are $20 for the public and $15 for ECC students. Blount-Bridgers House events:

Exhibit: Through Aug. 10 – Anna Hammond's "Fanciful Figures" and J. D. Lloyd's Wildlife Photography, "Birds are Part of Nature's Art," in the Hobson Pittman Gallery.

Exhibit: Aug. 15-Oct. 12 – "Faces and Places, the Photography of Bayard Wootten," early 20th century N.C. photographer, from the N.C. Collection at the Wilson Library at UNC-Chapel Hill. Opening reception in the gallery 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21 followed by lecture and book-signing by Jerry Cotten, author of "Light and Air."

Adult art classes:

• Introduction to Pastels (Maureen O’Neill (823-3097). Mondays, Sept. 8- Oct. 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for eight weeks in Continuing Ed Arts Room of Fountain Building at ECC.

• Furniture Making (Jason Ecker, instructor (252-758-4910; 252-813-2124). Tuesdays, Sept. 9-Nov. 11 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. for 10 weeks in Woodworking Shop in maintenance bldg behind the Fountain Building at ECC.

• Calligraphy: Claudia Dersch (641-1175) Wednesdays, Sept. 10-Oct. 29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for eight weeks. in Continuing Ed Arts Room of Fountain Building at ECC.

History Days: Sept. 26-28. Fourth annual History Days weekend in Tarboro.

Arts Bazaar: Oct. 23-Nov. 30. The Great Tarboro Art Bazaar show and sale.

Fall Celebration: Oct. 25 Bicentennial Arts Gala on grounds of the Blount-Bridgers House. House will be open for tours; Art Bazaar exhibit in Gallery.

Christmas Pops Concert: Dec. 4 by the North Carolina Symphony at Keihin Auditorium

Annual Hobson Pittman Holiday Exhibition: Dec. 11-Jan. 25.
