Sara Dew on Boykin stage next week
Sara Dew of Tarboro will perform at the Edna Boykin Cultural Center in Wilson 7 p.m. Saturday, July 26 as part of a Country Music and Gospel Show.
Sara has made several appearances with this music production group in previous years and always enjoys taking the stage with her friends. She has entertained all across North Carolina at fairs and festivals. She opened for Josh Turner at the State Fair in 2007 and enjoys playing the fiddle for “The Engineers” and the “Showcase Band.”
Last week, she entertained the National Convention of County Agriculture Agents in Greensboro.
In addition to singing, Sara volunteers her time working with the elderly at The Fountains of The Albemarle and coaches swimming with the Tarboro Swim Club. She is the 16-year-old daughter of John and Terri Dew and a rising junior at Rocky Mount Academy.
The Wilson show will feature classic country, new country and bluegrass. Entertainers will have a meet-and-greet session during intermission and after the show.
Other performers in the show are Michele Leigh, Steve Vann, Mack Marcom, Jane Shattuck, Shane Smith and Black Creek (a bluegrass gospel band).
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door the night of the show.
The theater is at 108 W. Nash St. in downtown Wilson.
