TARBORO — The Optimist Club of Tarboro is hosting their annual Carlton Owens four-man super ball golf tournament at Maccripine Country Club Thursday March 28. There will be a shotgun tee time at 9 a.m.

The Optimist Club is inviting everyone to come and join them for a day of fun and fellowship to help support various youth programs in Tarboro and Edgecombe County. There will be biscuits and juice served for breakfast. At the completion of the 18-hole tournament lunch will be served by Optimist Club members.

There will be trophies awarded for three flights, door prizes and a cash prize will be awarded by random 50/50 drawings. Door prizes will also be available for purchase for $5. Tickets for mulligans will also be available for $5 per player and will help make the scores interesting. Individuals or businesses that wish to participate as Hole Sponsors can have a sign placed on the course in recognition of their business for $35 each.

Also, if your firm can donate any items for door prizes or small advertising favors that can be distributed among all participants, it would be greatly appreciated by the Optimist Club.
