Tonight, all three Edgecombe County teams are slated to take to the hardwood in non-conference action. The Tarboro Vikings travel to Pinetops to play county rival the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars and North Edgecombe will travel to play Ayden-Grifton. Each team has three games remaining, which they are using to gear up for the annual holiday tournament. BETHEL – SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars first-year coach Andrew Harrell took part of the responsibility for his team's sub par performance in wet, rainy conditions Friday. His Cougars were routed 11-1 by the North Pitt Panthers in five innings due to the mercy-run rule.
