Skins, Vikings earn TPR wins

TARBORO — The Doug Henry Chevrolet Redskins remain undefeated after blowing out the Hemby-Willoughby Cowboys 40-20 Tuesday night.

The Cowboys jumped out to an early 6-0 lead after Tyrek Lloyd scored on a 10-yard run. The lead didn't last long though, because the Redskins responded with 32 unanswered points and opened up a large lead.

Jordan Williams added two touchdowns, while JaQuavious Davis, Ni'Zavion Black and Jay'Son Lewis each scored once.

Lloyd added his second TD for the Cowboys and Wade Morris cut the Redskins lead to 12 after he scored, but Ke'Nazuis Black added the final score for the Redskins to give them the cushion they needed.

In the second game, the Piggly Wiggly Vikings earned their first win of the season when they defeated the Doug Henry Ford Seahawks 7-6. The difference in the game was the Vikings converting their extra point after scoring their only TD.

The Seahawks got on the board first when Clay Craddock connected with tight end Rymek Williams on a 55-yard TD pass play.

The Vikings weren't having it though, they responded right back and scored on 55-yard TD run by JaQuez Perkins and they added the extra point to take the lead.

The rest of the contest was a defensive battle with neither team being able to get the upper hand offensively.
