The end of times is near!

Robert H. Gray Jr.

God's word tells us: "The Lord is ... not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (II Peter 3:9)

In I Timothy 2:4, we read that God "will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

Yet, we know that God's will is not always done in the lives of people, even in the lives of those who are saved. Many times, the reason is that people are full of pride and believe their way is right for them.

If you are born again, just who are you? The Bible tells us: "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light." (I Peter 1:9)

Now we who are born again in this dispensation, are grafted into the same vine with the converted Jew. (Romans 11:17) In His sovereignty, Go.d has made us to be "kings and priests." (Revelation 5:10)

We are in the world, but not of the world. (John 17:14) Our citizenship is in heaven. (Ephesians 2:19) God has changed our home. (Ephesians 2:6)

We will be here only for a very short time now. You see, Jesus is coming back for us, but while we're still here we have a big job to do. (Mark 16:15-18)

Every day we are getting closer to the day of completion. We are winning every day. He has made us to be victorious. Romans 8:37, tells us that "...we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us."

Our fight is not with mankind. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)

We are not fighting a losing battle. We've already won! Jesus Christ has given us power over the enemy, and nothing can hurt us. He says to us: "Behold I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

NO! We will not operate in fear. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (II Timothy 1:7)

We have not only been given authority over the devil and his horde of demons, but we have been given the name of 'Jesus.' His name is the most powerful name given. Philippians 2:10 tells us: "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow..."

The day is soon upon us, when those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior and have already died, shall be raised from the dead. Those that are born again and still alive, shall be raised up also; they shall be "...caught up together ... to meet the Lord in the air..." Read I Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for those who are born again; that they would be where He is. He also told us that vie should not allow our hearts to be troubled. (John 14:1- 3)

The enemy of our soul is doing and will be doing even more to try to instill fear into us, BUT "...greater f's He that is in you than He that is in the world." (I John 4:4)
