TARBORO — FARMVILLE — Mrs. Elva Grace Baker Nichols, 77, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.

The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m.  in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Julian Thompson.  Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Nichols was a longtime resident of Pitt County and a member of Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church in Tarboro.

Mrs. Nichols will be fondly remembered for her faithfulness and love of family and friends.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed singing in church special events. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Vernon Alex Nichols; sons, Bobby Nichols, Vernon Alvin Nichols and Dalvin Earl Nichols and wife, Sol, all of Farmville; six grandchildren; and brothers, George Baker of Tarboro and James Baker of Farmville.

The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
