TARBORO — Ronald L. “Ronnie” Pittman 66, died Friday, February 7, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley E. Buck, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Ronnie proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He retired from the Tarboro Police Department after 27 years of service where he served as
DARE instructor. Ronnie was presently employed as a Federal Court Security officer.
Ronnie was survived by his loving family, including his wife of 45 years, Brenda Wooten Pittman;
daughters, Kristin Pittman Phillips and husband, Brian, of Hillsborough and Sandy Pittman Vollinger and husband, Steve, of High Point; sister, Mary Jo Pittman Willis and husband, Bob, of Southport and grandchildren Evan and Davis Phillips Addison Vollinger.
The family received friends Sunday at Carlisle Funeral Home Sunday.
