TARBORO — TARBORO — Rev. Julian E. Thompson, Sr., 65, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 15, 2013.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 19, at the Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church in Tarboro, with the Bishop Jimmy Whitfield officiating.

Julian was a minister for 30 years, and was the pastor of Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church in Tarboro. He has faithfully served the Lord for over 42 years.

Julian is preceded in death by his parents, William B. “Bill” Thompson, and Helen Carter Thompson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family, including his wife of 42 years, Glenda G. Thompson; a daughter, Michelle Warren, and husband, Kenny; a son, Jay Thompson, and wife, Billie Lynn; grandchildren, Logan Warren; Caleb Thompson; Freddie Lane Webb; Bridget Webb; great-grandson, Brenden Lane Butts; sisters, Lorraine Myrick and Kelly Stalls and husband, Stephen; brothers Bo Thompson, and wife, Ann and Kenny Thompson, and wife, Mary Ann and a host of nieces, nephews, and church family.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the home, 508 Shiloh Road, Tarboro.
