ESTHER DUNN CASPER

TARBORO — TARBORO — Esther Dunn Casper, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 29, 2013.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Tarboro with the Rev. Jesse Blalock, Rev. Bobby Forehand, and Mr. Tom Piver officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Tarboro.

Mrs. Casper was born in Edgecombe County on March 25, 1919 the daughter of James A. Dunn and Dovie Viverette Dunn. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Linwood T. Casper; two sons, Jasper and Marion Casper; and her brothers, Holmes Dunn and James Dunn.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted family, including:

Daughters: Bettie Baggaley, of Wilmington and Diane Carter, and husband, Michael, of Richmond, Va.; Sons: William Casper, and wife, Mary, of Tarboro and (caregiver) Odell Casper, of Rocky Mount; grandchildren: (caregivers) Geneva Casper Bryant, and husband, Mike, of Rocky Mount, (caregivers) Jason Casper, and wife, Amanda, of Enfield; Duane Carter, and wife, Angel, of Richmond, Va.; Keith Carter, and wife, Donna, of Richmond, Va.; Brian Carter, and wife, Natalia, of Winchester, Va.; Vivian Woolard, and husband, Tom, of Belhaven; Anita Baggaley, of Wilmington; Marian Casper, of Pinetops; Cindy York, of Coshocton, Ohio; Linda Lopez, of Enid, Okla. and Tony Casper of Berkley Springs, W.V.; 19 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and her feline companion, Dutchess.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Golden Living Center of Tarboro, and Asera Care Hospice of Greenville.

Flowers are welcome, but if desired in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Esther’s memory may be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Tarboro, 700 W Howard Ave Tarboro, NC 27886.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 1, at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at the following residences: 136 Tobacco Road, Rocky Mount and 1102 Peach Street, Tarboro.
