WILSON — WILSON — Raymond Pender Edmondson, Jr., of Wilson, died March 16, 2013 at UNC Memorial Hospital. 

Rev. Dr. Tom Watkins will conduct a service of committal at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden, followed by visitation in the church parlor and Dudley Room.

Ray was the eldest son of the late Raymond & Edna Edmondson.  He was born August 13, 1952 in Tarboro; the family moved to Wilson in 1966.  Ray was a graduate of Ralph L. Fike High School and attended Campbell University.  In his youth Ray was an avid golfer, enjoyed water skiing and was a fan of the Duke Blue Devils and Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his brother, Robert M. Edmondson of Wilson; aunt, Dot Moseley Schriefer of Baltimore, MD; uncle, George Moseley of Spartanburg, SC., as well as numerous cousins.
