REVA WILHELM LAWSON

ROANOKE, Va. — ROANOKE, Va. — Reva Wilhelm Lawson, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. She was born in Rockbridge County on October 5, 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Lawson; her parents, and her sisters Myrtle and Ova .

Reva was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Green Ridge Presbyterian Church, and was a retired CNA from Lewis Gale Hospital.

She is survived by her children: Kermit (Joann) Lawson of Tarboro, Koehn (Gloria) Lawson of Roanoke and Roxanne Lawson, both of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren: Davona (Brian) Parisher, Tarboro, Denise (Keith) Long, Greenville, Daryl (Kim) Lawson Tarboro, Angela (Nick) Clark, Salem, Va., Krista (Steven) Hall, Catawba, Va., and Wiley  Staton and Laurie Staton, both of Tarboro; great-grandchildren: Jacob Parisher, Tarboro, Zachary Parisher, Tarboro, Katlin Long, Greenville, Haley Long, Greenville, Georgia Lawson Tarboro, Dustin Lawson, Tarboro, J. D. Kidd, Salem, Va., Kayla Kidd, Salem, Va, Hope Kidd, Salem, Va., Dakota Clark, Salem, Va., Cheyenne Clark, Salem, Va., Hannah Staton, Tarboro, Drew Staton, Tarboro, Emme Cannon, Tarboro and Bryce Cannon, Tarboro; one great-great-grandchild on the way; three nephews: James Lawson Bremerton, Wash., Ronald Hotinger, Harrisonburg Va. and Myron Hotinger Boise, Idaho.

Many thanks to the staff of 3rd floor main at Friendship Manor. You blessed our family by your wonderful care of our mother for the last four years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Green Ridge Presbyterian Church, 7640 Alpine Rd. NW, Roanoke,Va. 24019.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Oakey’s North Chapel, with the Rev. Bart Smith and the Rev. Ken Nienke officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Oakey’s North Chapel.
