TARBORO — ELM CITY — Henry Fitzhugh Pittman, 80, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 3 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Smith and Pastor Tim Hooks officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park with full military honors.

Henry is preceded in death by his wife, Maude Maxine Pittman, parents, Henry Basil Pittman and Susie Estelle Denton Pittman and a grandson, Jonathan Cruse.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family, including: sons, Glenn Pittman and wife, Jean, of Tarboro and Mike Pittman of Red Oak; daughters, Linda Barber and husband, Marlon, of Tarboro, Brenda Cruse and friend, Nelson Vinson, of Rocky Mount and Rita Wadsworth, of Elm City; sister, Louise Mullins, of Whitakers; grandchildren, James Barber and wife, Heather, Krystle Cruse, Lynn White and husband, Adam, Christa Vaughan and husband, Dillon, Chad and Brent Pittman, Heather Pittman, Samantha and Steven Wadsworth and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Carlisle Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 21, from 7-8:30 pm.
