Dr. Donald Earl Harrell, 51, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. He is survived by his four daughters, Rebecca Lynn, 15, Rachel Christine, 13, Sarah Elizabeth, 11, and Naomi Ruth, 8, his parents Marvin L. (Humpy) Harrell, Sr. and Leona (Faye) Harrell of Tarboro, his brothers, Marvin L. Harrell, Jr. and wife, Yulonda W. Harrell, and Randy Eugene Harrell all of Tarboro, Nieces Jessica H. Conklin and Brandi L. Harrell, and aunts, nephews and friends. The family would also like to recognize two of his very dear friends, Gene F. Bass and Jenniss L. Harrell, who stood with the Bishop to the end.
Dr. Harrell was a noted musician for years and traveled as an evangelist before founding Rivers of Life Ministries in Macclesfield. His music and messages were heard around the world through Trinity Broadcasting Network, where thousands were changed and influenced by the anointing on his life.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, October 12 at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro and at other times at the home of his mother and father in Crisp. A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, also at Carlisle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park in Tarboro.
