TARBORO — TARBORO — Benjamin Ray Proctor, 73, died Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, at Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Julian Thompson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Benjamin loved and was a faithful member of Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a deacon and church van driver. He served his country honorably in the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 43 years, Shirley Anne Proctor; daughters; Patty Hamilton, and her husband, Donny, of Knightdale, Tracey Dionne, and her husband, Thomas, of Deerfield, N.H., Robin Farrington, and her husband, Jim, of Knightdale, Janet Daughtry, and her husband, Steve, of California and Mary Ann Proctor, of Rocky Mount; sons; Kevin Proctor, of Beverly, Mass. and Jim Proctor and his wife, Sherri, of Newport, Vt.; sisters; Shirley Peterson, and husband, Ron, of Kinston, Barbara Proctor, of Lagrange, Ruth Harrison, and husband, Fred, of Kinston, and Janie Brimmer, and husband, Ken, of Bowie, Md.; a brother; Larry Proctor, and wife, Judy, of Grove, Okla. and 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends and relatives at Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church Wednesday, January 9, from 12 noon until 2 p.m.
