Three teenagers were charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon Thursday after the robbery of a Rocky Mount pizza delivery driver.
Rocky Mount police were called to the 800 block of Lincoln Drive after the robbery had been reported around 1 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year old Domino's Pizza driver who had just been robbed of the pizza's he was delivering. The victim told police that the three suspects robbed him and then fled on foot from the scene. Officers were able to identify the three suspects and obtained warrants for their arrests.
Police charged 16-year old Daymond Gibson, 16-year old Dan'ja Davis and a 14-year old juvenile. Gibson and Davis were charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and were placed in the Edgecombe County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
The name of the 14-year old wasn't released because of his age, but he was taken into custody and charged.
Police are investigating similar robbery cases and others including a Saturday morning robbery of another Domino's Pizza driver that occurred in the 1300 block of Planters Street, where two suspects robbed him.
