Police arrest suspect after finding cocaine, marijuana

TARBORO — A vehicle stop Saturday night resulted in a drug arrest by the Tarboro Police Department after officers found marijuana and crack cocaine inside the vehicle.

While searching the vehicle, officers found 3.5 grams of crack cocaine and 7 grams of marijuana.

Arrested was 19-year old Dominic Antonio Draughn, who was charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine and maintaining a vehicle for the sale of controlled substances. He was released on an unsecured bond.

Draughn had his first appearance in district court Tuesday to answer the charges.

He also has charges pending against him for possessing unseal wine/liquor in the passenger area of a vehicle and possession of fortified wine/liqour or mixed beverages under the age of 21.
