ROCKY MOUNT — Vivian Brake has been named as the new superintendent at Fountain Correctional Center for Women.
The Division of Adult Correction prison houses 580 adult female minimum custody inmates and is staffed by 138 officers and other staff members.
Brake had been assistant warden for programs at Fountain since 2006, where she began her career as a correctional officer in 1991. She succeeds Lynn Sanders, who retired.
