14 arrests in drug roundup


FROM STAFF REPORTS

Fourteen drug-related arrests were made Wednesday by Edgecombe County's narcotics task force, Sheriff James Knight announced today.

The arrests are the beginning of "another campaign against street-level drug dealers, as well as large supplies of cocaine throughout Edgecombe County," Knight said.

The following were charged and placed in the Edgecombe County Detention Center.

• Nevia Yemen Bridgers, 30, of 804 Chestnut St. in Tarboro, was charged with conspiracy to sell marijuana and received a $1,500 bond.

• Bobby Ray Bunn, 38, of Route 2, Box 118-E in Battleboro, was charged with possession of cocaine and received a $1,000 bond.

• Jessica Nicole Cherry, 30, of Lot 8D Raccoon Run in Pinetops, was charged with two counts of trafficking a Schedule II controlled substance, selling a Schedule II substance, and possessing a Schedule II substance with the intent to sell and deliver it. Her bond was set at $10,000.

• Calvin Gunter Jr., 35, of Walston Street in Princeville, was charged with selling cocaine, possessing cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver it and possessing cocaine. His bond was $1,500.

• Terrance Dwayne Johnson, 31, of Route 1 in Pinetops, was charged with possessing cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver it, selling cocaine and possessing cocaine. His bond was $10,000.

• Jermarkus Lane, 21, of Newton Avenue in Princeville, was charged with selling marijuana, possessing marijuana with the intent to sell and deliver it and maintaining a vehicle for the storage of narcotics. His bond was $2,000.

• Ramiro Maciel, 24, of Mobile Home Estates in Tarboro, was charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine, and received a $100,000 bond.

• Marsha Darlene McCrary, 30, of Route 1 in Pinetops, was charged with conspiring to sell a Schedule II substance, conspiring to traffic a Schedule II substance, possessing a Schedule IV substance and intending to sell and deliver it, selling a Schedule IV substance and maintaining a dwelling for the storage of narcotics. Her bond was $75,000.

• David Danille Miles, 30, of Raleigh, was charged with selling a Schedule I substance, possessing a Schedule I substance with the intent to sell and deliver it, and possessing a Schedule I substance. His bond was set at $10,000.

• Tammy Delores Perry, 44, of 8143 Glover Road in Mac-clesfield, was charged with possessing cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver it, selling cocaine and delivering cocaine. Her bond was $5,000.

• Timothy Antonio Pettaway, 39, of Davistown-Mercer Road in Pinetops, was charged with three counts of selling cocaine, three counts of possessing cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver it, and three counts of maintaining a dwelling. His bond was set at $20,000.

• William Stanley Silver Jr., 21, of Rocky Mount, was charged with two counts of trafficking opiates. His bond was $10,000.
