A Princeville man has been arrested in connection with the theft of four push lawnmowers in Tarboro.

Detective Sgt. Marty Barber said Dennis Leon Marshall, 50, of 298 Bonnie Lane in Princeville, was charged with four misdemeanor counts of larceny and one felony count of breaking and entering.

Barber said Marshall stole $830 worth of lawnmowers in Tarboro's Historic District the week of July 21, even breaking into a garage to steal one of them. One was stolen July 23, two were taken July 25, and the fourth was taken July 26, Barber said.

Marshall's first court appearance was Wednesday, and he was released from the Edgecombe County Detention Center under a $500 secured bond.
