Dale and Samantha Holland of Tarboro announced the birth of a daughter, Corina Beatrice Holland, born Nov. 22, 2006, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Corina weighed five pounds, two ounces and was 17 and 1/2 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Tammy and Richard Peaden of Tarboro.
Paternal grandparents are Randy and Mary Holland of Tarboro.
Paternal great-grandparents are the late Norman and Betty Turner of Tarboro, and the late Willie and Doris Peaden of Pinetops.
Maternal great-grandparents are the late Bud and Estelle Summerlin and the late Eddie and Pearl Holland of Tarboro.
Spaghetti dinner to raise money for animal welfare organization
A spaghetti dinner and silent auction from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Calvary Episcopal Church Memorial Hall will raise money for a local animal welfare organization – Tarboro Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) and Feline Friends.

First Baptist Church of Tarboro is raising money to build a high school for orphans in Lugazi, Uganda. Children from 14 orphanages fed by the Christian organization Pennies for Posho will have the opportunity to attend the high school.

Wooten earns Eagle Scout award
William Thomas Wooten, Jr. of Williamsburg Drive, Tarboro has earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award.
