Marian Elizabeth Deaton and Christopher Brian Guill were married August 8, 2009, at Rose Hill Plantation. The Reverend William Emory Smyth officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Ruben Deaton, Jr. of Tarboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Wiley O'Neal of Tarboro and Mrs. Ashley Ruben Deaton, Sr. and the late Mr. Deaton of Asheboro.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Dixon Guill, Jr. of Tarboro. He is the grandson of Mrs. Edith Guill Ballard and the late Mr. Ervin Dixon Guill, Sr. of Tarboro and Mr. Philmon Anderson of Scotland Neck and the late Mrs. Anderson.

After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple is at home in Wilmington.
