Christmas Tree Sale

Bobby Freuler

I would like to personally thank “The Daily Southerner” for their December 7, 2011 article covering the 2011 Tarboro Optimist Club Christmas Tree sale.

The Tarboro Optimist Club, Tarboro High School baseball team and  local Boy Scout troops from Howard Memorial Presbyterian (Troop 49) St James United Methodist (Troop 96) 1st Free Will Baptist (Troop 816)  have teamed up again to provide quality NC Fraser Fir Christmas Trees. It is only through positive coverage and local support that our annual sale can be successful.

Bruce Peaden, Tarboro Optimist Club Treasurer, briefly mentioned some of activities that are supported through our Christmas Tree sale. We are proud that we are able to support local youth sports teams, oratorical winners and even help further someone’s educational aspirations among other things.

The Christmas tree sale is tentatively scheduled to last until Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 9:00 pm. Please think of us when purchasing your live Christmas Tree.  Tarboro and Edgecombe County’s youth depend on you.

Again, on behalf of those directly and indirectly involved in the sale, I would like to thank everyone who supports us either financially or through donations of time or other resources. We can’t do it without you.

In closing, remember “Support a Youth, Buy a Tree.”
