Wreath Decorating Class


The E.L. Roberson Center in conjunction with ECC will be offering a class for those 55 and older. The class will be once a week for four weeks from 1-3pm. cost of the class is $20. Center will supply the wreaths and participants will supply what they would like to put on the wreaths. For more information call 641-4263.

A Day in the Life of Diabetes

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, so the Edgecombe County Health Dept.  is hosting a fun and interactive event featuring exhibits, games, food samples and door prizes. Short Term Rehab

Leanne Moody from Tarboro Nursing will be at the E.L. Roberson Center at 11am to explain short term rehab, its benefits and what Tarboro Nursing has to offer. For more information call 641-4263.

American Legion

Post 316

ECC - CPR

A class for the general public meets on the Tarboro campus of ECC from 8am-5pm. Fee is $65.  Call 823-5166, ext. 175.

Youth Council Meeting

At the Braswell Center at 5pm, for ages 12-18.  This forum is for the young adults to voice their opinions,  issues or whatever is on their minds. For more information  come by the center or call 641-4210.



Golden Kiwanis Club

Will hold its regular meeting at 9:30am in the meeting room of the E.L. Roberson Center. The speaker will be Robin Pigg, Dean of Health Science of Edgecombe Community College.

Edgecombe County Landfil


Will be closed Thurs. & Fri. in observance of the Thanksgiving Holidays. The landfill will be open at 7:30am on Saturday, November 24th. The recycling centers will be close don Thursday only.

Book Signing


Tarboro Author, Gerald Ward, will hold a book signing for his book, “Memories of a Small Town Cop,” from 1-4pm, at the Edgecombe County Memorial Library, 919 N.  Main St.

Community Thanksgiving


First Baptist Church in Tarboro will hold a community Thanksgiving service at 6pm in the sanctuary. Everyone is invited to attend.

Tire Manufacturing


A 4-week class begins on the Rocky Mt. campus of ECC. A day class meets 9am-noon Tues-Thurs. An evening class meets 6-9pm Tues.-Thurs. Fee is $145. to register contact andersong@edgecombe.edu or 823-5166, ext. 197.



ZUMBA!

With Certified Zumba Instructor, Ms. Amy Morris. Classes will be on Tuesday’s at 6pm. $15 for Tarboro residents, $30 for non-residents. You must be 16 years old to take the class. for more information call 641-4210.
