TARBORO — Edgecombe Events should be submitted by noon the day before publication. Items eligible include notices of local meetings and activities of non-profit organizations, clubs, schools and civic groups in the community. The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), will meet in the Warner room at Braswell Memorial Library for coffee at 10:30am. The program will be “Installation of Officers”.

Juvenile Crime Prevention

The Edgecombe and Nash Councils meet at 9am at the East Carolina Ag & Education Center in Rocky Mt., The Public is invited to attend.

Volunteer Crisis

Call Training


At My Sister’s House from May 20-June 13. This is a 40 hour training course from 5:30-8:30pm, Monday-Thursday. We are looking for volunteers. Call 252-462-0366.

Tar River Republican Women’s Club

Will meet at the Tarboro Library in the Pender Room at 7pm. New members are welcome.

Democratic Women of Edgecombe County

The Democratic Women of Edgecombe County will meet at 6PM in the Oakland House in Tarboro, 709 Edmondson Ave. New members are welcome.
