A Big Gospel Fundraiser

FREE Admission. There will be a free will offering. Please come to support! CPR Training

Tar River Republican Women’s Club

Will meet at 6:30pm in the Pender Room of the Tarboro Library. Karen Wright Fairley and another speaker from Florida will be the guests speaking on the Common Core Curriculum that is being taught in our public schools. Please come and bring a friend to hear this important that affects all our children.



ECC New Student Orientation

Advanced Swim Lessons: Ages 8 & Up


Two week session meets on Mon.-Fri. only and student must be able to swim across the pool. 10am-11:45am. Cost is $25. Swim Lessons will be held at the Community Pool.

4-H Fishing for Fun Clinic

From 8:30AM-2:30PM at Indian Lake in Tarboro. This clinic is for youth ages 5-10. The fee is $10 per youth. A NC wildlife officer will be in attendance and speaking to all youth about fishing safety. Youth will learn how to use a rod and reel, how to bait a hook, types of baits to use & much more! Must be regisitered to attend this event. Our kickoff this year will be held at Edgecombe Community College in the McIntyre Auditorium. Registration will begin at 9:30am and our performer will begin at 10am. Our performer this year is Mad Science.

The Amazing Spider-Man


Movie begins at dusk (around 8:45pm). Bring blanket or lawn chair to enjoy a family fun night under the stars. Concession stand will be available to purchase movie treats such as popcorn and drinks. Movie rated PG-13.

Autumn Morningstar


Native American fluist, storyteller, magician, and musician, Autumn Morningstar, will be joining us for a very special program. Please try to arrive at 9:30am SHARP to be seated and plan to stay for one hour. At the performer’s request the doors will not open after 10am. The program will be held at the Edgecombe Community College in the McIntyre Auditorium.

Two week swimming lessons meets Mon.-Thurs. where instructor leads parents along with infant in basic swimming skills such as water immersion, floating, kicking and more. 6-7pm. Cost is $25/Infant & parent. Lessons will be held at the  Clark Pool.



JULY 3

Monster’s University


The first 50 children to sign up and pay $2 for their drink and popcorn will get to go to the movies free at this Parkhill Cinema showing in Tarboro. All other children must repay $5. This includes popcorn and drink. Parent cost for event is $4, plus cost of foods, to be paid at the movie theatre. The movie will be at Parkhill Cinema in Tarboro. Participants will need to be at the theatre by 9:30am. Space is limited so sign up now!

Bikers for Americas Bravest


American Legion Riders Post 19 is planning on Saturday. Registration is at 9am, Safety Brief at 9:45am, and KSU at 10am.  Cost per motorcycle is $25. The Story of Jacob


The E.L. Roberson Center is planning a trip to the Rocky Hock Playhouse to see the story of Jacob. We will leave at 10am. Cost is $30, which includes the ticket and a lunch buffet. All money is due July 15. Space is limited as we will only be taking one van. For more info, call 641-4263.

1st Annual Myrtle Beach Fun Fling


Includes two nights hotel accomodations, two breakfasts, two dinners, and reserved seating at two shows. Shows include “Christmas Show” at the Alabama Theater and “Legends in Concert”.
