TARBORO — Edgecombe Events should be submitted by noon the day before publication. Items eligible include notices of local meetings and activities of non-profit organizations, clubs, schools and civic groups in the community. Volunteer Crisis Call Training


My Sister’s House will be having a volunteer Crisis Call Training course from 5:30PM-8:30PM, Mon.-Thurs. We are looking for volunteers.

JUNE 13 - JUNE 21

Swim Lessons: Ages 4-15 Two week swimming lessons Mon.-Fri. where children will be taught basic swimming skills for all levels. Class I: 10-10:45am. Class II: 11-11:45am. Cost is $25. Swim Lessons will be at the Commuinty Pool.

Adult Program for Braswell Memorial Library

This is a Flower Arranging Workshop with Gwen Hyman from 5:30-7:30PM in the Warner Room. Participants are asked to bring materials necessary for this workshop. Call 252-442-1951, ext. 243 to register.

Bosom Buddies Support Group

Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group will meet at 7pm in the library at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital. Please call 823-8277, 823-5546, or 823-2525 for more information.

Day Trip to Beaufort

The E.L. Roberson Center is hosting a day trip to Beaufort. Leaving on a charter bus at 8AM (Friday). Will tour the NC Maritime Museum and elsewhere. At 12:30 we will board the Crystal Coast Lady for the Shackleford Wild Pony and Dolphin Tour, with lunch aboard the boat. Cost for the trip is $80. A deposit of $40 is due at registration with the balance due by June 10th. We need  23 people to make this trip happen! For more info call 641-4263.
