National Library Card

Sign up Month

LAST DAY for The Library to 1)Replace worn and lost cards for free and 2) give a “sweet” gift to patrons getting a NEW library card for the 1st time.


Flag Raising

At the Veteran’s Memorial on the Town Common for Theodore P. “Ted” Williamson, U.S. Navy, at 11am. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

Six Sigma

Citizens Club

Will be sponsoring Gift Bingo on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 7-9pm, at the E.L. Roberson Center.

Golden Kiwanis

Meets at the E.L. Roberson Center at  9:45am. The program is a business meeting for all members and guests. New officers will be installed.


Garden Club

A luncheon meeting will be held at the Fountains of the Albemarle at 12-noon. Dorita Boyd, owner of Raindrop Ridge Farm near Bath, will speak on “Herbs and How to Preserve Them.”


“The War Zone”

WWII off the North Carolina Coast

Proceeds to Edgecombe County Veterans Museum to restore  the Colonial  Theater. Author and documentary filmmaker, Kevin Duffus will offer a 55 minute presentation at 6pm at the Clark Hall of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Tarboro. For more information email



Litter Sweep

Litter clean-up supplies will be handed out during the 8:30am registration andparticipants will be given water and snacks. Plans include clean-up of Indian Lake Park, 3202 Western Blvd. ending around 11am. Volunteers are encouraged to pre-register by calling the Tarboro Parks & Recreation, Jean Grimes at 252-641-4263.
