Two week swimming lessons meets Mon.-Thurs. where instructor leads parents along with infant in basic swimming skills such as water immersion, floating, kicking and more. 6-7pm. Cost is $25/Infant & parent. Lessons will be held at the  Clark Pool.



JULY 10-19

Swim Lessons: Ages 4-15


Children will be taught basic swimming skills for all levels. Class I: 10-10:45am. Class II: 11-11:45am. Cost is $25. Swim Lessons will be at the Commuinty Pool.

Edgecombe Arts “The Manners” Summer Camp

Providing School Supplies for Children in Need


Applications for The Salvation Army Apple Tree Program will take place at 9-11:30am and 1-4pm. Location: The Salvation Army, 420 Paul St., Rocky Mount. Benefit Fundraiser for Cancer Patient Jeanette Griffin Brown


 A BBQ and chicken plate sale will be held at Northern Boulevard Baptist Church in Tarboro from 11 a.m. until sold out. Dine in or take-out. Ticket cost is $6 per plate, which includes potatoes, slaw and hush puppies. Drinks and desserts will also be sold on site. Tour of Durham


The E.L. Roberson Center is hosting a trip to Durham to tour the city and its historic sites. Touring the city, stop for lunch, and then finish the tour after lunch. Cost is $35, which covers the tour. Lunch is separate. All money is due by July 25th. For more info, call 641-4263.

The Benefit Bank is a web-based service that helps individuals & families apply for state and federal benefits. (Medicare, Medicaid, Voter Registration, Scholarships, etc.) Volunteers from S.W.I.. (Single Women in Mission) will be here to assist patrons with The Benefit Bank-NC every Monday and Wednesday in the computer lab from 6:30pm-7:30pm.



2013 Midget Tackle Football

Registeration is July 1-August 2, 2013. The Braswell Center has a new program for seniors ages 65 yrs. old & up. It’s called “Healthways Silver Sneakers Program”. There is one exception to the age requirement; you can be 60 yrs. of age and qualify IF you are on disability.
