Two week swimming lessons meets Mon-Thu where children will be taught basic swimming skills for all levels. 10-11 a.m. Pre-registration is required and deadline for registering with payment is July 26, by 12 noon. $25 Tarboro residents, $50 non-resident. Call 641-4263 for more info.

Game Clinic

Tour of Durham

Summer Reading Program Wrap-Up Party

The E.L. Roberson Center is planning a trip to the Rocky Hock Theater to see the performance “Jacob, Prince of God.” We will leave at 10am. Cost is $30, which includes the ticket and a lunch buffet. Edgecombe County Rabies Vaccination Clinic


8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Albemarle Animal Hospital. State Law requires all dogs, cats and ferrets 4 months of age and older to be vaccinated against rabies and wear proper collar and rabies tag.



AUGUST 15

Chemotheraypy Treatment Completion Party


Vidant Edgecombe Hospital invites patients of Vidant Oncology-Tarboro who have completed their chemotherapy treatments within two years to a Treatment Completion Party from 5:30-7 p.m. in the lobby of the Vidant Oncology building. Braswell Memorial Library Benefit Bank of North Carolina

The Benefit Bank is a web-based service that helps individuals & families apply for state and federal benefits. (Medicare, Medicaid, Voter Registration, Scholarships, etc.) Volunteers from S.W.I.. (Single Women in Mission) will be here to assist patrons with The Benefit Bank-NC every Monday and Wednesday in the computer lab from 6:30pm-7:30pm.



2013 Midget Tackle Football

Registeration is July 1-August 2, 2013. Registration forms will ONLY be accepted at Braswell Center, 1501 Western Blvd. Players must be 7yrs of age by Aug. 5 and cannot turn 13yrs of age before Dec. 1.  All players must have a copied birth certificate when registering. “The Prom Closet”

Is offering Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training.
