KINSTON — Bennie Earl Casey, 76, of Kinston passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 after a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. He was a retired Police Officer with the City of Kinston and former Building Contractor.
Survivors include a very special friend and long-time companion, Faye Davis of the home; daughters, Meredith Casey Bourne and husband Bill of Tarboro and Lambeth Casey Overman and husband Mike of Raleigh; step-daughter, Pamela Lee Norris; brother, Freeman “Bud” Hooker Casey of Kinston; sisters, Minnie Margie Rouse of Kinston and Emma Ruth Jett of Fontana, CA.; grandsons, Alston Lee Bourne of Tarboro and Benjamin David Haswell of Raleigh.
He is predeceased by his father, Jake Palmer Casey; mother, Luna Moore Casey; sisters, Mary Frances Casey and Lula Mae Watson; and brothers, Alton Casey, Palmer Jake Casey and Bobby Ray Casey.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Westview Cemetery with Reverend Jane Wilson of Calvary Church in Tarboro presiding.
