Mr. Phillip Neal James of Robersonville, N.C. and Mrs. Wilma Whitehurst Alexander of Tarboro, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Lindsey James, to Lang Russell Hardison Jr.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Anna Fleming James, the late George Alton James Jr. of Robersonville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Alton Whitehurst Jr. of Hobgood.

She is a soon to be graduate of Meredith College, and plans to teach elementary school in Raleigh, N.C.

The groom-elect is the son of Barbara White Hardison and the late Lang Russell Hardison of Robersonville, N.C. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Slade White of Williamston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Hardison of Robersonville.

He is an Engineer at Cisco Systems in Research Triangle Park.

The wedding is planned for May 31, at the Whalehead Club in Corolla, N.C.
