Bryan Drugs had a ribbon cutting at its new location, 112 Hospital Drive, on Friday. Mayor Donald Morris and head pharmacist/ owner Dean Bryan cut the ribbon at the store in the presence of Tarboro Town Council members, pharmacy staff and Bryan family members.
"I feel very blessed to be able to do this," Bryan said. "We've been in business in Tarboro since 1972."
The pharmacy's other location is on North Main Street. Bryan Drugs had a location inside Vidant Multispecialty Clinic for 25 years. Bryan said the store's new location in the 2,600 square foot building across from Vidant Edgecombe Hospital gives the pharmacy staff more room.
Bryan is a 1967 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy and will oversee the eight staff members in the new store. The store offers a drive-through pharmacy, free prescription delivery in town, and accepts prescription refills via telephone, the Internet and Smartphone App. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The store's phone number is 823-3178.
