Dixon new manager of volunteer services

TARBORO — Vidant Edgecombe Hospital is pleased to welcome Amy Dixon as the new Manager of Volunteer Services.

Originally from Edgecombe County, Dixon graduated from Hobgood Academy and moved on to Peace College and East Carolina University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2003. Prior to coming to Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, she served as Director of Admissions at the Fountains at the Albemarle in Tarboro for seven years.

“I am very excited to enter this new chapter of my life,” said Dixon. “I look forward to working with such a great group of people, including both the staff and our volunteers. They have all welcomed me with open arms and I am happy to be a part of Vidant Edgecombe.”   

As Manager of Volunteer Services at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital, Dixon manages the volunteer program, plans American Red Cross blood drives, manages the hospital’s United Way campaign, and coordinates the hospital jewelry show(s) and uniform fairs.

"I am very excited to have Amy as a part of the Vidant Edgecombe family,” said Kadie Moore, Human Resources Director. “She brings a lot of energy and creative ideas to our Volunteer Program. Our Volunteers have already created a wonderful bond with Amy, with many more memorable events and activities to come." 

Dixon resides in Edgecombe County with her husband Brian and two young boys, Cooper and Austin.
