ECSD needs help solving home invasion


PINETOPS — The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Department needs the help of the public to identify two black males who are responsible for a home invasion Thursday night in the Macclesfield area.

The two suspects entered a female's residence with handguns on Rustic Ridge and demanded money and drugs from her.

According to a press release, the female told law enforcement that the two suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money, cell phone and EBT card. They stole the items after they assaulted her by striking her in the head and arm. She had to be transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The press release said no other information could be released at this time about the circumstances of the home invasion.

The first suspect is described as a black male, who is 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighting 160 pounds and was wearing a gray hoodie with a black bandana over his face, while the second suspect was 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighting 220 pounds, also wearing a black hoodie and green bandana over his face.

Law enforcement was unable to get any type of vehicle information or what direction of travel the suspects left in.
