ECPS holding kindergarten, preschool registration

ROCKY MOUNT — The Edgecombe County Public Schools (ECPS) registration and application for kindergarten and preschool will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Wimberly, Princeville and Stocks elementary schools.

All parents or guardians who wish to apply for their students to enroll in preschool for the 2013-2014 academic year must attend at least one session in their area of attendance. Children should be 4 years old on or before Aug. 31 to enter preschool in the upcoming school year. In order to apply, parents or guardians needs to bring a certified copy of their child’s birth certificate, a verification of income for one current month, immunization record, most recent health assessment and a proof of guardianship, if applicable. Parents or guardians also need to bring a proof of physical address, which could be a utility bill, lease agreement or other official mail delivered by the postal service.
