Dee Harper joins staff at East Carolina University

GREENVILLE

The ECU Office of Economic Development announces the addition of Dee Dobson Harper of Tarboro to its staff.

Harper will serve as marketing communications specialist for the OED and its constituent units, which include the Regional Development Institute, the Center for Survey Research, the Office of Technology Transfer, the Entrepreneurial Initiative and the SBTDC Eastern Regional Service Center.

 In her new position, Harper will support the OED with the preparation of feature articles, speeches, reports, scripts and marketing materials, provide editorial support for printed and electronic publications, coordinate video production, and develop communications and media relations strategies to promote OED activities, events, initiatives and programs.

 Harper brings 17 years of marketing communications experience to the position, having worked as an advertising copywriter, feature writer, production coordinator/producer and public relations coordinator for several advertising agencies, publications and nonprofits.

She is a graduate of East Carolina University and New York’s American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Harper resides in Tarboro with her husband, Keith.

 The Office of Economic Development is a department of the East Carolina University Division of Research and Graduate Studies and includes the Regional Development Institute, the Center for Survey Research, the Entrepreneurial Initiative and the SBTDC Eastern Regional Service Center.
