On Wednesday, 107 secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals from more than 20 businesses, agencies and organizations in Edgecombe County were treated to lunch at Stack’s restaurant in Tarboro to celebrate National Administrative Professionals Day.
The event was sponsored by The Tarboro Edgecombe Chamber of Commerce and Edgecombe Community College’s Small Business Center.
“We have 107 of the most important people in Edgecombe County here today,” said Tarboro Edgecombe Chamber of Commerce President Roberta Cashwell. “This is an opportunity for the Chamber and College to say “Thank You, we appreciate you and everything you do.’”
Each woman received lotion, candles and a water bottle in addition to lunch as well as a chance to win a number of door prizes, donated by several local businesses and organizations.
John Formica of John Formica Enterprises, LLC, a firm specializing in training and leadership workshops, was the guest speaker at the event.
“I want to personally congratulate you.on this day,” said Formica, a 10-year veteran of the Walt Disney Company. “I know that the people you work with appreciate all that you do.”
