Kathryn Richardson, an employee of Cummins-Rocky Mount Engine Plant, shared that her colleagues rallied together to crochet these pink ribbons to raise awareness of breast cancer. Richardson candidly mentioned that a few of the employees actually learned how to crochet during the awareness project. The plant donated the pink ribbons to Vidant Oncology-Tarboro. "We deeply appreciate Cummins and their employees for donating all of these wonderful pink ribbons," said Suzanne Schupp, manager of Vidant Oncology-Tarboro. "We have already begun giving them to our patients and they are grateful for such a meaningful gift. We intend to share these in our other breast cancer awareness events during the month of October."
